Workers in the area buenos aires… is a contribution to the knowledge of the characteristics and levels of the process of social differentiation to the interior of urban workers in Argentina. The author explores the hypothesis of the crystallization of a differentiation socially substantive, between those unemployed workers, or who have labor inserts extremely irregular, and the rest of the working class. The research is conducted in a territory in particular, the party of the massacre in the Metropolitan Area, and advances through two pillars of analysis. The first, involves the reconstruction and comparison of trajectories socio-occupational personal and intergenerational beneficiaries of employment schemes and manual workers of the industry and building. The second, exploring the relationship between such heterogeneity in the condition workers and the configuration of social identities and policies, locating joints between the types of trajectories and forms of representation and positioning with regard to the structure and social conflict.
